ArchTour.com is a website created for academic research and non-academic information related to architecture as a destination for tourism - architourism. (At the time this domain was purchased, both architourism.com and architourism.org had already been taken, although neither site has yet been developed. An alternate name was selected that would relate tourism and architecture, which is the reason for the "clever" spelling of arch(i)tour-ism used on this site.) While there are buildings in many countries with boast tourism appeal, this website has been inspired by those of the Western United States, and California in particular.
